Dive Into Your Dance Journey: Classes for Every Aspiring Dancer!

We offer a multitude of classes for various levels.

Please note: All class-level placement and advancement is determined by the faculty

Ballet Level II

Our ballet classes follow a classical structure, featuring barre, center, and across-the-floor routines. These levels focus on building a strong foundation in classical ballet positions and movements, with ballet nomenclature introduced and utilized throughout all classes.

Pointe

Pointe classes are for students with prior ballet training and required prerequisites. Each class includes barre exercises, center work, and across-the-floor combinations, focusing on technique refinement and strengthening while developing individual artistry.

Tap

Tap classes emphasize proper foot and ankle articulation while exploring musicality, rhythm, and syncopation. Students will learn fundamental tap steps, tap terminology, and develop the ability to maintain correct body placement.

Jazz II

Our Jazz program introduces students to foundational techniques, emphasizing beginning jazz, Broadway, and contemporary movements.

Jazz III, IV, V

Upper level jazz classes focus on proper technique, including body isolations, enhancing performance quality, and mastering complex rhythms and patterns. Students will explore various styles such as modern, hip-hop, and contemporary, helping them become well-rounded dancers. Suitable for ages 7 and up.

Ballet Level III & IV

Building on the dancer’s previous experience from lower-level courses, more advanced choreography will be introduced, as class levels progress. Students will learn advanced techniques and skills, as refine their artistry in performance.

Combo Ballet/Tap

Designed for our youngest dancers, combination classes introduce the foundations of ballet along with basic rhythm and tap choreography. These classes expose students to multiple dance styles, helping them make informed choices as they grow older. Suitable for ages 3-6.

Pre-Pointe

Students showing promise in technique and leg strength may be invited to this class, which focuses on strengthening the legs, ankles, and feet to prevent injury and prepare for pointe work. Emphasizing classical technique, it underscores the importance of daily exercises for a successful first year on pointe.

Combo Ballet/Jazz

An alternate option for our youngest dancers. This class will include introductory ballet technique, as well as Introductory jazz technique classes including warm-up, center, and across-the-floor movements. Ages 4-7

Musical Theatre

These upbeat classes teach Broadway-style choreography, show-stopping stage presence, and acting, focusing on learning song-and-dance numbers from various musical productions, past and present. Ages 7 - High School. Ages 7 and 8 will require an audition during their first trail class.

Dress for Success with the Below Guidelines

Proper Dress is mandatory for each class.

TAN LINERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AS LEOTARDS, AS THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE COVERAGE.

Ballet/Tap Combo Classes

Wear pink tights, solid color leotards (skirts are acceptable), pink canvas or leather ballet shoes, and black tap shoes. Hair should be in a bun. No dress-up costumes or tutus are allowed.

Pointe

Students should wear appropriate ballet attire.

Jazz

Students should wear tights or jazz pants, a leotard, and tan jazz shoes. Hair should be pulled back away from the face.

Tap

Students should wear a leotard and tights or comfortable workout clothing, along with black tap shoes.

Musical Theatre

Students should wear leotards and tights or comfortable workout clothing, with tan jazz shoes for girls and black jazz shoes for boys. Advanced MT girls need tan character shoes in addition to jazz shoes.
